How it works

Type or paste your options into the box, putting one item on each line. Blank lines and stray spaces are ignored, so you can paste straight from a spreadsheet or chat without cleaning it up first. Press Pick one and the tool selects a single entry uniformly at random and shows it large and clear.

Pick again runs a fresh draw over the same list, which is handy when the first winner declines or you simply want another go. Every item has an equal chance each time, and picks are independent, so the same name can come up twice across separate draws.

It's a fair, no-fuss way to choose a giveaway winner, decide who goes first, assign a task, or break a tie. The whole thing runs in your browser — your list is never uploaded — so it's just as suitable for private names as for public raffles.

Frequently asked questions

Does every entry have an equal chance?

Yes. Each non-empty line is equally likely to be chosen, and each pick is independent of the last.

Can the same item be picked twice?

Across separate picks, yes, because each draw is independent. If you want a unique running order instead, use the list randomizer to shuffle everything at once.

How are lines counted?

Each line with text on it counts as one entry. Empty lines and surrounding spaces are ignored automatically.

Is my list private?

Completely. The list stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere, so it's safe for names and other personal data.

What if I only enter one item?

It will simply be picked every time. The tool needs at least one non-empty line to choose from.
