How it works

Press Flip coin and the tool draws heads or tails with an even 50/50 chance, showing the result in large text. It's the fastest way to settle a two-way decision — who goes first, which option to try, or any genuine coin toss — without hunting for a real coin.

Underneath, a live tally tracks how many heads and tails you've had and the total number of flips. Over a long run of flips you'll see the count drift toward roughly half and half, a neat demonstration that each flip is independent and unbiased. Reset tally clears the counts back to zero whenever you want a fresh experiment.

Everything runs in your browser using its built-in random generator, so results are fair and private and nothing is uploaded. Each flip is independent — a run of five heads doesn't make tails "due" on the next flip.

Examples

Settle a debate → one flip → heads or tails decides.
Probability demo → flip 100 times → watch the tally approach 50/50.
Best of three → flip three times and read the running count.

Frequently asked questions

Is the coin truly fair?
Yes. Heads and tails each have an exact 50% chance on every flip, using your browser's random generator.
Does a streak of heads make tails more likely next?
No. Each flip is independent, so past results never change the odds of the next one — that belief is the gambler's fallacy.
What does the tally show?
It counts how many heads and tails you've flipped and the total number of flips, updating live after each toss.
Does the tally survive a page refresh?
No. The counts are kept only while the page is open, so refreshing or leaving resets them, as does the Reset button.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The flip and the tally run entirely in your browser, so nothing is recorded or uploaded.
